Only one week to go until I run my marathon, it’s time to rest and review a few 2-year-old races and hopefully, find a couple of future winners. As I have said before my 2-year-old betting season is like a marathon, start off easy and finish strong. As the flat season starts, trainers and owners are dreaming of Royal Ascot and it’s really difficult finding winners with all the top yards sending out what they think could be future stars, so take a step back enjoy the racing and wait for the right moment, hopefully a few of my trackers will help me unearth a winner or two in the weeks and months ahead.

Before I start to preview a great days racing and a few interesting horses am really looking forward to seeing I will take a minute to mention a couple of winning trackers that I noted in my last post and could turn out to be really nice horses to follow this season.
Richard Hannon trained Kemble was on my radar after receiving an early Class 2 entry but didn't run, he was fancied on his first run when opened up 9/2 and backed into 7/2 on the off, and ran a satisfactory debut to finish third, forward on to Monday in what looked a nice race he was 7/2 and fancied again but with only seven running it was a disappointment for me as I would have done a each way bet at 4/1. Kemble put in a much-improved run when demolishing what looked a decent enough field with the well-fancied Illusionist 5-lengths behind and looks like he could be aimed towards Royal Ascot.
Another tracker was the Archie Watson trained Execlusive who was backed from 5/2 into 13/8 favourite and punters were counting their winnings over one furlong out. Execlusive looks another who will be aimed at better class races this season, that’s an incredible eight first time-out winners for Archie Watson this season compared with only two first time-out winners he had in April/May 2018.
Last but not least was a tracker that I didn’t have in my last post as it hadn’t come through at that time, but I was keeping a close eye on Good Vibes, (Pictured) the David Evans trained 2-year-old who was being nibbled at throughout the morning and I must admit I can’t take all the credit for backing this Due Diligence filly as I saw Jason give her a good write up on his Group Horse Daily page, so I had an each way at 11/1, and she ran on very well and looks a horse going places this season.

Al Hilalee had two runs last season and two wins. Last season he was entered to run in numerous group races including the Group 2 Champagne Stakes, Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes, Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes, Group 3 Acomb Stakes and the Listed Dragon Stakes, so as you can see he was definitely well-thought of and beat a few experienced group performers in France. I fancied him to run well in the 2000 Guineas but was never involved, needs to bounce back after a poor showing last time out.

Khaadem looks a nice prospect after making his debut in a hot Novice race back in June last season and finishing third to the exciting Calyx. Winning his next two races he looks to be a horse going places. He was entered in two decent Group races as a 2-year-old, Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes was the first and the Group 1 Middle Stakes was the next but never ran in both. I will be interested to see if he can step up another level this season against some decent Group performers.

Sea Of Faith must of went into plenty of notebooks after an eye-catching debut last month. This William Haggas trained Sea the Stars filly was backed late on from 8/1 to 4/1 and ran a great race, despite a very slow start and looking green she came with a late rattle to finish fourth to Sparkle Roll in what was an encouraging first run. This looks a decent race but William will be hoping to repeat winning this race again after the excellent Sea Of Class won last year.

Week 4 If you haven’t seen any of my posts this is a bit of fun with a couple of my mates off social media to see who is the top tipster and at the minute Aaron leads the way. Aaron: Benie Des Dieux - 4:00 Auteuil, top class mare, would of won back to backs mares hurdles at Cheltenham barring a last flight fall, bounced back from that impressively winning by over 9 lengths at Punchestown, only worries would be if she stays out 3m having never been past 2m4f but if she does she will go close against a very good mare in De Bon Couer who won this race last year
Kurious - 1:50 Newbury was staying on in a class 2 last time and Sandown when just failing. The step up in trip will suit and there should be plenty of improvement to come especially now back in handicap company. Adv 8/1 (bet365)
