Reviews And Previews (6th April)

I know some people don't follow the market but for me it's a must if you want to keep ahead in this game, especially certain trainers, the stats don't lie. That takes me on nicely to a few trackers I had running this weekend, it looks disappointing but all the well regarded Aidan O'Brien horses I mentioned all drifted and all beat soundly, they will have their day so I'm not worrying to much as I didn't bet on any after watching them drift out in the betting.

Bets

As it's early days in the 2-year-old season and still gathering data and watching replays I haven't had one bet on 2yos yet which is very surprising for me as I'm normally trying to unravel these newcomer races. One tracker I did have from last year was the Joseph O'Brien trained Osraige who was well thought of last season. The problem was could I get an each way price, simple answer was no, I hate win bets because I hate losing money. I waited to see what was happening with the O'Brien pair, I could see they had drifted throughout the day, good sign for my filly who I felt quietly confident about, Osraige drifted to 3s, right I'm on a win bet, feeling confident as the fav My Eyes Adore You I thought was weak and Osraige definitely had the beating of her. I was actually out when the race was on and on the train. The race started Osraige going nicely, cruising along, Princess Olly took the lead an outsider, favourite beaten yessss sure Olly will tire cmon, next minute underground we go, shit no signal fuck sake, soon as I got off put the replay on and Princess Olly didn't tire at all and done enough to beat Osraige, bloody Amo Racing can't get away from them, I actually had one of their 3yos Malex the other week so fairs fair. I actually added it on the blog about 30 minutes before the race. ❎

Trackers.

17:30 Kempton

Landed a nice touch with the Mick Channon trained Ingra Tor a few weeks back, nice Churchill colt this, can he win with a penalty is a different matter against some potential nice types, hope so like.

1pt EW 16/1 2nd (Rule 4 20p in pound) +1.76pts

14:30 Leopardstown

Oooh this could go to a few here but I have one tracker, the Dubawi filly Emily Dickinson, I have noticed Moore is on Thoughts Of June who also looks alright. Emily Dickinson, Above The Curve and Thoughts Of June all met last timeout with Emily a fair way back making late headway under an easy ride(trying to convince myself) . I would feel confident if Moore had chosen her but I'm chancing a small speculative bet here on Emily Dickinson. Just going to mention Star Angel owned by Amo Racing in this race.

1pt EW 15/2  5th -2pts

15:05 Leopardstown

A few trackers going against each here so no bet, First Emperor for Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, Newfoundland for Aidan, interesting Moore is on this newcomer and Vega Magnifico for Joseph O'Brien. No bet here but hopefully a decent race.

Thanks for reading and remember it's early days yet so I'm not going mad.

  1. Savvy Victory runs today in the 3.50 at Pontefract. Was mentioned as the best 2yo in the yard by his trainer last year. Steps up in distance in this maiden.

  2. Nice when that happens. Got 3's as well last night, although it was 4's earlier today. Will watch the race tonight, as at work.
