Ed Walker 2Yos for 2022 Flat Season

Had a bit of spare time so knocked together a few of Ed Walkers 2yos that could be worth checking out this season.

1: WAIPIRO (Australia Colt x London Plane) Owned by Mr P.K. Siu. Dam London Planes form didn't amount to much but the Danehill Dancer mare certainly produced a nice one in the Irish born Waikiki who ran two races in Ireland before moving on to Hong Kong and becoming a bit of a star winning three group races including the Group 1 Queen's Silver Jubilee, if half-brother Waipiro can do half as well owner Mr Siu will have a decent time.

2: BEN HAMRASH (Mayson colt x Dance East) Owned by Khalifa Dasmal and purchased for £75,000 at the Orby Sales. Dam Dance East was a nice type for Jeremy Noseda winning three times in her two year career. Ben Harmrash is a full-brother to Dance Diva who was a nice type for Richard Fahey winning her first three races as a 2yo. Hopefully make his mark when the 6 furlong races start.

3: STAR OF COTAI (Cotai Glory filly x Triggers Broom) Owned by Kangyu International Racing (HK) Limited and purchased at the October Yearling Sales for 180,000 gns. A few good offspring have come from dam Triggers Broom already including the Dandy Man gelding Triggered also trained by Ed who won twice as a 2yo. Star of Cotai is also a half-sister to the Cive Cox trained Supremacy who won the Middle Park Stakes in 2020, signs are good for the Cotai Glory filly.

4: ENGLISH OAK (Wootton Bassett colt x Forest Crown). Owned by Mr David Ward and purchased for 200,000 gns at the October Yearling Sales. Really nice pedigree here with plenty of winners coming from dam Forest Crown who finished her career running a few decent races herself in Meydan. Offspring include Forest Of Dean trained by John Gosden who found his stride as a 3yo and when upped in trip. As I said, a nice pedigree here and one to look out for.

5: DREAMROCKER (Fastnet Rock filly x Livia's Dream) Owned by Mr J Fill. Livia's Dream has already produced a couple of nice ones that are also trained by Ed. Dreamloper has an RRP of 110 after winning a group 3 last year. Another one is Dreamweaver who came into his own as a 3yo and needed a trip to show his best work.

6: KHINJANI (Sir Percy filly x Kandahari) Owned by Miss Kirsten Rausing. A full-sister to the Ed Walker trained and Miss Rausing owned Kawida who looks to have a bit of class about her despite still being a bit green towards the end of the season. Kawida won Listed Montrose Fillies Stakes on her final appearance of the season.

7: QUEENS AWARD (Mehmas filly x Warda) Owned by Mr David Ward and purchased for 190,000 gns at the October Yearling Sales. A half-sister to the Richard Hannon trained Oh Purple Reign who was a decent 2yo in 2019. Trainer tip: Doesn't have the biggest string of 2yos, not one for early winners. Newmarket a course he likes. Anything over 8s would be a negative. Very poor fto strike rate.

Thanks for reading.
