It's been nearly a week since I updated the blog so here we go. Shandy Star was my main bet for Roger Fell at Ripon last week and I was pretty confident of a place at least. This was down in class after the filly made her debut in the Marygate Stakes at York. The 13/2 on offer the night before was a deal and a half by bet 365 so I jumped in with both feet, with let's say a few quid each way. The money slowly came throughout the day but I was still worried by the Fahey newcomer for Middleham Park Racing who was the early favourite. The favourites actually flip flopped and Shandy Star amazingly was backed into 11/4 favourite. It was a great feeling but she had to produce the goods. Ben Curtis had her away well against the rail, the Fahey newcomer Platinum Queen was green in midfield. Ben went for home a couple of furlongs to go but Platinum Queen followed and the pair pulled clear only for the Fahey runner to stay on the better and win by a cosy length. A place is better than nothing.
One other bet I had was on my other tracker Lady Miller who I'd taken 20s the night before. It went wrong after that as a loose horse made it a seven runner race and of course Lady Miller came third. I didn't bet on my last tracker Palm Lily but the Beckett Expert Eye filly won well and looks a nice prospect.
As you know I normally put my trackers on Twitter but to be honest they don't seem to attract must interest of late, maybe it's because 2yo racing is niche so I've stopped posting them and trying Tik Tok, it does make me laugh this Tik Tok as some right whoppers are on it. I did have a nice winner the other day called Ibiza Love which set me up for a nice weekend.

One tracker in this so here we go. Double O is the early favourite here for David Loughnane. To be honest the Kessaar filly hasn't done much wrong being placed in both her races. The form looks pretty solid and would be no surprise to see De Sousa guide her home, a bit short for me though.
I've already taken the early 5/1 offered by Bet 365 and had an each way bet on Fox Degree for Ralph Beckett. The Invincible Spirit filly isn't a tracker but I did like her debut race at Bath seventeen days ago. The 200,000 gns yearling wasn't fancied on debut going off 7/1. The field was pretty decent with the Woodcote third Commander Straker and eighth Estate filling the first two places, as for Fox Degree she was pretty slow away at Bath and had to be bustled along by Rob Hornby in the first furlong, when the front two quickened I wouldn't say was to far behind and ran a bit wide losing ground, she sticked on gamely when straightened up and despite being beaten a few lengths I think this looks a lot easier and hopefully she will be more streetwise here and hopefully the extra furlong will see her finish in the first three.
Other trackers:
Chelmsford Tuesday 07 June.
Thunder Cat for Andrew Balding. Decent debut when pretty slowly away when support came late, The Roaring Lion colt was down to run at one of the abandoned meetings last week, I'm pretty sure he was drifting in the betting that day so I'm not sure yet what I'm doing here, possibly an each way bet.

Armour Propre for my favourite trainer Richard Hannon. No bet on the newcomer for me.
Good luck and thanks for reading.
