I have to say it's been a pretty decent May to be honest, I'm hoping to do a post soon with all my bets I had in May and try work out what worked and what didn't, a quick scan of them and I'm pretty sure I had far to many but as I said it looks a pretty decent month.

I've had a few trackers the last few days so quick recap.

In my last post Oh Sweet Tabu was my main bet for Richard Hannon. I had a few quid each way on her at 9/2, actually drifted to 13/2 before the off and frankly I was well disappointed as she faded out of the places. Miss Brazen was an unraced 2yo I mentioned for Karl Burke. It looked pretty straight forward for the Brazen Beau filly as she quickened up nicely to win at odds of 3/1. Not sure what happened to the Kevin Ryan trained Hernan Cortes who ran a stinker on debut at Ayr, I will take another look second timeout. 

Last but not least in my last post was the David Loughnane trained Guiteau who was making his debut. I wasn't going to have a bet on the James Garfield colt but had a feeling he would run well, I went in each way at 9s. The dreaded word you don't want to hear is dwelt as he flopped out the stalls and was outpaced, I'd give up as he was as green as hell, all of a sudden the penny dropped and he was making giant strides until blocked in for a second as jockey Rob Hornby barged his way through, it was so close but not close enough as he was beaten a short head. 

A few more winners from my trackers I've put up on Twitter are King's Crown 7/2 and wait for it, Show Respect. I'm pretty pleased to have taken 11/2 for the Brian Meehan Showcasing colt. I was actually watching the race as always on the bus home from work. The money came and he ended up 5/2, I had checked the night before and James Doyle had a few 2yo winners in the past with Meehan. It was one of them perfect races when you can see your horse going well, Show Respect was always towards the front and once James hit the button it was all over. Come on! what an end to the month, hopefully more of the same starting tomorrow.

17.00 Ripon

As always when I'm posting the night before it's pretty hard to predict where the newcomers will finish. Fahey did have a nice debut winner the other day and at the time of writing The Platinum Queen has been supported. The one I'm more than likely taking a chance on is Shandy Star for Roger Fell. Not a trainer noted for many 2yo winners I know. The Cotai Glory filly started her career in the Marygate Stakes at York when sent off 50/1. Ben Curtis who is on again had to give her the hurry up at York as she was slowly away, she soon caught up and showed some good speed until wandering about and weakening a furlong to go, this should be more to her liking and at 13/2 it's an each way bet for me, just a warning whenever I say a bet on here it gets beat so keep that in mind ha.
