Thursday's 2yo Horse Racing (20th July)

It's a good job, I don't bet big! I must have upset the big fella up above to have the season I'm having. I have always said this blog is about the good and the bad of my betting days and seems to be more bad at the minute.

First up was Boardman who is well bred for Geoff Oldroyd and owners Bond Thoroughbred. Money came early then went as Boardroom was around 8s at the off, I'd give up as the Showcasing filly dwelt and was pushed along before making rapid headway and finishing strong to be beaten a length, can't argue as it was a good effort first time up but will be no price next time, last season my luck was in.

Royal Expert ran a stinker and was outpaced before staying on, pretty poor selection who never got against the speedy types.

Wednesday was another stinker, I was looking at Stanley Spencer but missed tens so decided 4s was no value. I managed to get 6s each way for my tracker Red Zone Hero and of course my other tracker Seven Questions won, story of my bloody season!

Not much happening Thursday, a few Irish trackers popped up.

17.15 Leopardstown

It's a big field here and one tracker. Anthony Mullins trained Enchanted Garden. A cheap purchase this one and on paper looks poor, given an entry so that looks the only positive, probably a watching brief here unless money comes in.

18.20

Small field but still interesting. Opera Singer for Aidan O'Brien. The Justify filly was easy to back on debut when hampered and pushed along, sounds like a typical first timeout O'Brien 2yo. Comes from a nice family and with Ryan Moore taking over we could see a different horse.

Kalispera is the next for brother Joseph. I believe this will be a nice filly in the future, how she runs first timeout is a different matter. A half-sister to Joseph's Emphatic Answer who needed a few runs to show her potential.

I've had a small bet on both Kalispera 17/2 and Enchanted Garden 9s, both outsiders but I'll see if the Irish give me some much needed luck.

18.30 Epsom

Trackers: Mission To Moon, Rosenzoo

Mission To Moon bumped into one last timeout when looking like the winner the last furlong until the jolly Serenity Dream battled back. Should be in the mix again here. No bet for me at the price.

Rosenzoo is from the Charlie Johnston stable and by Zoffany. The 72,000 gns purchase is owned by Kingsley Park and made his debut at Ayr. Soundly beaten that day after being outpaced, looks like he could need bit of time and a trip

Nothing really stands out at the minute so I'll let the betting settle. Friday looks like a bumper day with plenty of trackers, if I get time I'll update the blog.

Thanks for reading and good luck.
