Tuesday's 2yo Racing (6th September)

1:30 Leicester -

Looks a competitive race. Behind The Scenes defied the odds on debut by winning and that often details a class horse. Time will tell. Vermillion ran well on debut and has fair stats. Five Towns needed the run and has been given a couple of class 2 stakes entries. Has been off a while and stepping up in distance. Has decent stats at 13/2 and less sp. Very few win if double figure odds. Martini Nights ran well on debut and gave the impression this trip will be a positive. Horton hasn't achieved a great deal this year with a number of expensive juveniles. Perhaps this one will run a race. Elegant Charm was a short price on debut and would be a high stat horse if 13/2 and less sp. Very few horses win over 9/1. Chealamy was well backed on debut and and did little. Had a group entry and may bounce back. Has fair stats at 13/2 and less sp. Limited info with this trainer as relatively new and only had two sto winners both around 6/1. Distinguished Lady has changed stables but held in some regard. A complicated race which may be helped by assessing the betting close to the off.

2:05 Leicester -

Rage Of Bamby returns after a win and has to defy the penalty. No real value. Daydream Dancer has set a fair level of ability without looking anything special. Beautiful Star was behind Ralph Beckett's runner at Sandown. Was a little keen that day before running on. Would have greater hopes if 13/2 and less but can win at double-figure odds. Royal Design was keen on debut but did little. Once again, very few of this trainers horses win double-figure odds on their second start. Klimova may have claims if 10/1 and less sp.

2:30 Goodwood -

Class 2 race. Watching race for me.

3:15 Leicester -

John Chard VC sets the standard. Not been seen for a while. Has a fair level of ability and valuable experience. Likely to lead and will be trying to hang on. Kolsai has a class 2 stakes entry. Cost good money and well owned. A decent month for debut winners and fair stats if 5/1 and less sp. Sir Michael Stoute similarly does well this month with debutantes and Falcon Nine has claims if 7/1 and less sp. A very well bred horse and one to consider although Stoute can be a little hit and miss on debut. The stable have done well this year with their juveniles. You Saw Brigadoon has received a class 2 stakes entry and hails from a stable that can win a big odds on debut. A costly purchase from owners Valmont who have done well with their two-year-old this season, many with this stable. Al Wasl Dream was relatively fancied on debut and did little. May be capable of better and would have hopes if priced 7/1 and less sp. A tricky looking race.

4:10 Goodwood - A class 2 race and one to watch.
