Friday's 2yo Thoughts (29th July)

Four maiden races today:

3:55 Wolverhampton -

Not much value at the top of the market. Grace Angel has gone well on a number of occasions and deserves a win but after 5 races you have to wonder if today will be the one. No value. Turbo Tiger would be a decent stat horse if 13/2 and less sp. No great opinion.

5:10 Newmarket -

A fascinating race. I'd be very surprised if this wasn't a two-horse race. I have little doubt Noble Style is one of the best if not the best two-year-old for Charlie Appleby (I think it is their top 2yo) and sure to take some beating. Mill Stream is well owned an trained, cost a lot of money, and beat a decent horse last time out. It would be a very good performance to beat the odds-on favourite but no forlorn hope. If drifting to an ew price may be a bet to nothing. You always have the fear a horse trying to win (and losing) may fall into a hole and trail down the field. I couldn't bet on Mill Stream but very interested to see how he goes.

5:23 Southwell -

Brother Sebastian is a strong, handsome, horse and clearly held in some regard by connections. He has run well on both starts to date and capable of winning a race of this type. He's a little keen and takes a while to get motoring which may see him running on but with work to do (unless doing different tactics today). Looks a decent ew bet and would be even better if drifting in the market.

7:20 Musselburgh - No great opinion.
