Tuesday's Racing Tips (17th July)

Beverley 14:00

A few trackers here.

Graceful Thunder, Boardroom, Lady Nunthorpe.

Graceful Thunder obviously looks the one to beat after finishing midfield in the Queen Mary Stakes, the favourites are there to be shot at so not for me.

Boardroom an interesting newcomer for Geoff Oldfield owned by Bond Thoroughbred and purchased for 70,000 gns as a foal. Really interesting pedigree out of dam Thatsallimsaying who came second in a listed race back in 2015. Three siblings to date who have all won first timeout including 104 rated Project Dante.

Lady Nunthorpe for Bryan Smart and the Bond owners again here to put a spanner in the mix, I'm still fuming after backing this Mehmas filly at 33s last timeout and the jockey taking the scenic route before running on to finish third, been given a decent entry since which shows this filly has some talent.

Conclusion

Three decent looking trackers here and it's either Lady Nunthorpe or Boardroom, I'm gonna take a chance on the newcomer Boardroom and see if I can get an each way price.

16.00 Lingfield

Tracker: Granny Budgie.

Only tracker here is the George Scott trained Massaat filly Granny Budgie. Made her debut last month at Nottingham when a 16/1 shot. Even though she missed the break Rob Hornby soon got her back in the pack before moving clear the final furlong to win by nearly a length. Not sure how good the form is but the fourth placed Good Biscuit has won twice since, has to lump extra weight but has the assistance of Billy Loughnane who takes three off, also been given an entry since so thought better, could progress further. Band Of Joy won't be no push over after winning last timeout. Rogue Rosie could have a say after finishing fourth at Newbury, sent off 3/1 that day which is a good sign. Looked a bit green at the start until settling down a bit before tiring in the final furlong to finish fourth, nice effort.

Henry Spillar doesn't get many 2yo winners but I thought Royal Expert shaped with promise on her debut at Chelmsford, drawn out wide and slowly away, Cieren Fallon settled at the back before staying on gradually to finish a close third, Fallon back on tomorrow. If an each way price I'll chance she has improvement in her and can pick them off.

Thanks for reading and good luck.
