Saturday's 2yo Tips (5th November)

12:20 Doncaster - 

Heavy ground. Ferrous has fair stats and should improve for the step up in distance but not real value. Nine Tenths cost a lot of money but Haggas is very hit and miss on debut and one a horse I wouldn't be betting. Uncle was disappointing last time out over one mile and drops back to 6f. Difficult to know what to think. 

2:05 Doncaster - 

William Haggas fields Molaqad who doesn't have the best stats. Roman Spring has a group entry. Another Hannon horse that has been up and down in distance. Ran ok last time although the winner won well and the third didn't frank the form next start. Difficult to know what to think. Talha is a fair looking horse. Ran on well enough and should improve for stepping up. You Saw Brigadoon was a high stat on debut when disappointing. A well bred colt and expensive purchase. Has fair stats if 13/2 and less sp. Ran no race on debut and you have to think much better is possible. 

4:00 Chelmsford - 

High Honour returns with a penalty after success at class 2. Sir Laurence Graff has had plenty of chances but has a decent official rating (85) and fancied to go well in the betting. Ibrahimovic has fair stats if 9/1 and less sp although would need to be something special to beat the favourites on debut. Torre Del Oro would be a high stat horse if 9/1 and less sp. Uncle Matthew would be a high stat horse if 13/2 and less sp. The two favourites look pretty short so it would seem unlikely overs would be backed into the best betting guides but you never know. 

4:30 Chelmsford - 

A lowly banded D race. Topo Chico is a short priced favourite and it would be a negative for the debutantes if so. Miss Sarajevo has ok stats if 13/2 and less sp but nothing special. No real value. Holy Fire has fair stats if 10/1 and less sp. Scramble hails from Conrad Allen's who can pop up with a debutante. I would consider it a negative to the unraced if Topo Chico starts favourite. This would conclude that Miss Sarajevo is the most likely opponent.
