Tuesday's 2YO Racing Update (20th September)

2:17 Beverley - 

Cite d'Or is a fair horse and pretty much level weight if the apprentice is decent. No value. Interesting that Jedd O'Keeffe has a couple going in this. He's not the worst trainer sto and goes ok when 13/2 and less sp and not bad at 7/1 - 12/1. Best to judge the individual horse. Silk Bird seemed out the back on debut and run on. Always a slight concern it was flattered. Mythical World looks similar. Difficult to know what to think about the two beyond the stats. Khinjani would have fair stats if priced 3/1 - 9/2. Montevideo would have fair stats if 9/2 and less sp. Haven't had enough time to review properly but looks a confusing race. 

2:52 Beverley - 

A few previous winners who battle this out. The favourite Squealer is a decent horse. The favourites look no price and difficult to pick between them. 

4:02 Beverley - 

It's All About You has fair stats but no value. Sea Master has been given a class 2 stakes entry and was fancied on debut. Could go well if 13/2 and less sp. Mindset didn't run a bad race on debut before tiring in the closing stages and could show more today. Has decent stats if 13/2 and less sp. Mwada is a fair sort and showed good pace and battling qualities. Must have a decent ew chance. I see Nigel Tinkler has given a coupe of his debutantes class 2 stakes entries. Never the easiest of trainers to assess and he has given a couple class 2 entries this year and they look limited. Big Bad Wolf has two entries which may give a little bit of hope. He struggles to win on debut with only three successes before this year although had a 125/1 winner so not impossible. Perhaps not too likely though. A tricky looking race. Nearer the off may help. 

6:30 Newcastle - 

No great opinion. 

7:00 Newcastle - A bigger field. Chasseral has a group entry but making hard work of winning. Short price but fourth start brings more concerns. No value.
