Monday's 2yo Update (1st August)

Eternal Class
boom! Immortal Beauty boom!

Personally I had a great day Saturday, it was a funny old day because I didn't watch a single race because I was out. My main bet was Loyal Touch at Goodwood who I backed each way, I checked the results and third so I was relieved because that was my biggest bet of the day, I did think my other tracker Classic would have won and was surprised to see The Foxes for Balding was the winner, could be decent form this race.

Next up was Immortal Beauty who let me down a few weeks ago when getting blocked in and finishing second at a big price, I was in Manchester that day and believe me I could have done with the winnings after an expensive day, I checked the results on my phone and was nice to see the Richard Hannon filly had won 5s, watching the replay later she wondered about a bit but hung on well.

I was torn between two trackers in the Thirsk opener Jamie Bond and Eternal Class, I checked the betting early on and the Karl Burke trained Eternal Class was attracting a bit of support and the Bryan Smart Jamie Bond was drifting so decision made a few quid each way on Eternal Class 8s, I couldn't believe my eyes when the Night Of Thunder filly had won 9/4, get in you beauty, I also done a lucky with a few of my other trackers I mentioned in my Saturday post and made profit on that too. The Joseph O'Brien colt Agathon looks a future winner after staying on but never nearer on debut and one to keep an eye out for.

Right onto a few trackers running over the next few days.

13.18 Ayr

I have short priced Karl Burke Espionne as a tracker here, the Dubawi filly won on debut and has a win penalty here to deal with, sent off 3/1 on debut at Carlisle and keeping on well. Not a race I will be getting involved in with the Kevin Ryan filly Dubai Jemila also looking a nice type after coming fourth on her debut at Beverley in what looked a decent race. Interesting race to watch.

13.55 Ripon

Another Karl Burke short one here in the name of Swingalong. The Showcasing filly looked a touch unlucky last timeout when not getting the rub of the green at Newbury, The form has been franked with the winner Trillium winning the Molecomb Stakes. The 7/4 could seem a good price at 14.00 but taking the short odds is a bit risky for me.

2:40 Naas - Nation's Call

13.55 Ffos Las 02 August

A few trackers here, Frequent Flyer for Andrew Balding. A 20/1 shot for debut at Newbury when looking professional enough and up with the pace for most of the race until tiring and coasting home the last furlong, interested to see if any support. Manifested has run twice and looks to be improving for the Hannon team.

One I'm interested in seeing is the Owen Burrows trained Elraaed who is well regarded. Dam Into The Mystic ran five times in France coming third in a grade 3 on her final start. Looking at the pedigree it looks like Elraaed will need further in time and I'm interested to see if the Dubawi colt is fully tuned up tomorrow.

18.20 Kempton

Ferrari Queen trained by Charlie & Mark Johnston.

Nintynineproblems trained by Mark Loughnane.

A few trackers but nothing standing out as a bet, money for Elraaed would be interesting.

Thanks for reading and good luck.
