Thursday's 2yo Racing Update (14th July)

I've been far too busy lately so have just been adding my trackers on my Twitter account. It seems to be one of them at the minute when nearly every horse finishes second. Immortal Beauty was like a dagger to the heart last week when I backed her at Ffos Las at 14/1 to win as I felt she was better than seen so far, I was in the pub watching as the race started, she was cruising in behind the leaders going well, Sean Levey waited for the gap but got blocked in, Once More For Luck got away, next minute Immortal Beauty was out and flying, cmon I shouted as I thought she would get up but fuck no, beaten by a head, it was a great race to be honest, that's what gives us a buzz and keep coming back for more.

Berkshire Phantom, We Could Be Hero's, Chartwell House, Mrs U S A, Greenland and Al Dasim have all finished second the past few days, enough moaning let's see if I can get back on track.

17:15 Leopardstown

I'll just mention my tracker or trackers.

Montesilvano for the Joseph O'Brien team. The Holy Roman Emperor colt made his debut at Roscommon in an ordinary race. Dam Delicate Charm was unraced for Aidan O'Brien but has produced some nice offspring, in fact Joseph O'Brien has trained all five, a full-brother to Numerian who got better with age. Montesilvano was supported on debut from 13/2 into 9/2 and is  clearly thought better than his debut sixth at Roscommon, he wasn't given a hard time that day and coasted home, I only hope this trip is not to short but I couldn't not back him each way at 9/1.

Friday looks like one of those days you could go bankrupt, but I'm still going to note a few trackers I have running.

14.25 Haydock

Al Najada could be decent for Karl Burke. A 55,000 gns yearling. No bet but interesting to see how he goes on debut. Tantalus was thought good enough to run in the Frank Whittle by trainer Ben Haslem. A 33/1 shot that day and trailed in seventh after being up with the pace until tiring the final furlong, wasn't a bad effort to be honest, could have each way claims If the newcomers disappoint.

Newbury and Newmarket are my worst nightmare for 2yo races but I'll mention my trackers.

13.00 Newbury

Bresson looks to have a good chance here of breaking his duck after finishing second to Victory Dance at Newmarket last timeout, Charlie Appleby likes Victory Dance so Bresson should be in with a shout here, looks like a few nice types he has to take on.

13:33 Newbury

Expensive purchase Silver Knott for Charlie Appleby makes his debut here, The 725,000 gns yearling has a decent pedigree and one I'm looking forward to seeing.

14.08 Newbury

I have three trackers in this race that looks a cracker, probably a race to watch but if I bet I'll add it on twitter

Hoof It Hoof It trained by Richard Hannon.

Swingalong trained by Karl Burke.

Trillium trained by Richard Hannon, she looks a real nice type and could be my bet

17:36 Newmarket

Pureness trained by George Boughey.

Thanks for reading and good luck.
