Sunday May 21st (Reviews & Preview)

Bets:

14.20 Bath 20 May

As I mentioned in my last post I was having a bet on the Andrew Balding colt Estate in the 2yo race. I can't really grumble with that effort as the Showcasing colt did make the odds on favourite Commander Straker work for his victory, the pair pulled clear but David Lowe's Kodi Bear colt was always doing enough, a nice run by Estate to finish second and will be winning soon.

16:07 York 21 May

One bet here was Just Janet for the David O'Meara yard. I took 11/2 and thought the Zoustar filly could get placed at least, the money came and she was backed into 9/2. That was as exciting as it got really as she finished fourth looking a bit one paced, the winner Bradsell won in a canter and looks decent for Archie Watson.

19:45 Lingfield 21 May

The lucky last bet for me, I had actually backed my tracker Grace Angel each way here, each morning Jason Coote the other part of the craigsbettingblog team messages me and we chat 2yos of course, well he mentioned Lady Jane Grey in this race so I did have a small win bet on the Rae Guest filly. It was great watching this race as both pulled clear, it was even better when Lady Jane Grey won and Grace Angel came second so it was a win-win situation. I mean I wouldn't have given Lady Jane Grey a second look if it wasn't for Jason!

Trackers Immortal Beauty

13.00 Nottingham 22 May

Nine go to post in this fillies maiden stakes.

Adjani for Kevin Philippart De Foy and owners Bronte Collection 1 who have been on fire with three winners out of five 2yo runners this season. Adjani made a decent debut to be honest from an outside draw at Kempton. The Kessaar filly was quickly away and tried to keep up with the eventual winner Beautiful Eyes until fading to finish third, the winner was decent and Adjani should come on for debut run and could have an outside chance.

Keep Bidding for Ralph Beckett, unraced Ribchester filly, market check needed on debut.

Lady Hollywood ran a cracker on debut for trainer Alice Haynes, quickly away and knew her job, Rossa Ryan tracked leaders until a furlong to go then delivered his challenge to the leader Fragrance, it looked like Lady Hollywood would get up but Fragrance battled back to deny her on the line. Pretty decent form and should be there about again.

Love Affairs for Clive Cox and the Queen. Market should be the key here.

Maylandsea for Michael Bell, another that needs a market check.

Miami Bay has been disappointing for trainer George Boughey.

Radio Goo Goo not one of David Evans best 2yos but is consistent and runs a race, could be vulnerable to a newcomer or one that's shown promise first timeout.

Sugar Hill Babe an outsider for trainer Lisa Williamson.

Immortal Beauty for the Richard Hannon team. A 130,000 gns purchase. The Cotai Glory filly has run once already when coming third in a decent race at Ascot this month. Pretty quickly away by and travelled well behind the leaders, a bit outpaced and niggled along until staying on again the last furlong. Immortal Beauty should come on for that run and hopefully Hollie Doyle can give her a perfect ride.

Two trackers for Monday:

17.00 Roscommon Voce Del Palio trained by Joseph O'Brien.

17:40 Windsor Uncle trained by Richard Hannon.

.

Good luck and thanks for reading
