Holding a licence since 2011, his appointment to train privately for Rabbah Bloodstock was a game-changer.
A string of successful two-year-olds is the foundation of a quality yard and with nearly 400 winners the future looks brighter than ever.
Last season [2019] saw five very talented juveniles including the following:
Nasaiym
Racing in the ownership of Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum. This bay daughter of More Than Ready went close to winning on debut before fending off Nina Bailarina at Newbury on her second start. The best of her four starts saw a creditable eighth place when contesting the Lowther Stakes (Group 2).
Dream Shot
This son of Dream Ahead had a busy formative season in the ownership of Rabbah Bloodstock. This bay colt ran nine times at two starting proceedings with a battling success at Goodwood when ridden by Jamie Spencer.
Jamesfield Place had big plans for this February foal and he didn't let the team down. The second start saw Dream Shot head to Beverley to contend the Brian YeardleyTwo Year Old Trophy Stakes (for colts and geldings). He finished a competitive third place behind Summer Sands. From there he was predominantly raced at pattern class, although dropped in class when winning ''comfortably'' at Chelmsford under a penalty.
- 5th July, Sandown, 2nd Chase Farm Dragon Stakes (Listed Race)
- 1st August, Goodwood, 7th Qatar Richmond Stakes (Group 2)
- 24th August, York, 8th Julia Graves Roses Stakes (Listed Race)

- 1st November, Santa Anita (USA), 7th Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (Grade 2)
Under The Stars
This bay daughter of Night Of Thunder out of a twice-winning mare raced six times in the ownership of Saeed Manana. This February foal made a sparkling debut at Ripon when ''soon clear, eased towards finish'' winning by three lengths.
She wasted no time tasting victory gaining Black Type when ''running on well'' to take the Princess Margaret Keeneland Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) AT 25/1 Read James Tates quote about this victory. Other classy performances included
- 22nd August, York, 4th Sky Bet Lowther Stakes (Group 2)
- 15th September, Curragh, 5th Moyglare Stud Stakes (Group 1)
- 27th September, Newmarket, 4th ShadwellRockfel Stakes (Group 2)
- 5th October, Newmarket, 1st £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes
This chestnut filly, a daughter of Exceed And Excel, raced just two times in her two-year-old season but made a big impression for owner Saeed bin Suroor. This February foal was well fancied on debut at Wolverhampton when winning by three-quarters of a length at 2/1f.
The second start saw a creditable fourth place when beaten less than three lengths at Kempton contesting the Sun Racing Sirenia Stakes (Group 3).
Magical Journey
This chestnut filly raced just twice in her two-year-old career but showed a high level of ability for Saeed Manana. This daughter of Night Of Thunder ''kept on well'' after being held up the rear to win on debut at Beverley.
The second start saw her step up in class when runner-up at Newmarket when competing in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF ''Bosra Sham'' Fillies' Stakes (Listed Race).
I would like to thanks James for taking the time to forward 10 two-year-olds for 2020.
